Tile flooring is an excellent option for allergy sufferers.

Carpet and wood are among the guiltiest offenders when it comes to trapping allergens, since both types of flooring are porous materials that can bring dust and debris into the air quite easily.

The problem with wood in particular, is that over time, the particles from the wood finish will start to break down. When this happens, the particles can get stirred up in the air. If an allergy sufferer were to walk by and breathe in these particles, then he or she could certainly have some breathing and respiratory problems.
